Yankin and Crankin

Hello Anglers,

Today was one of the better days we have had in quite awhile. We had a whole lot of yankin and crankin going on and we put together a wonderful day with Dorado, wahoo, yellowtail, and yellowfin tuna. We started our day offshore looking for a few dorado and we were pleasantly surprised to find good kelps with plenty of dorado and a few big wahoo. The wahoo we caught were 35 to 55 pounds and we had a half dozen of them along with all the dorado we wanted for the day. We took off from that area and ran into the beach for the last few hours of daylight and found a area where there was mucho bird life and we stopped on them to give them a try. From the time I stopped the boat to when I walked down on deck I counted 21 fish going at once. Yellowtail and yellowfin from 14 to 25 pounds and they wanted to bite until dark. They were biting the jigs and flylined baits anywhere you wanted to cast. A wonderful and very productive day and tomorrow we are going to try to put a good day together up the beach somewhere. The pictures that I am sending are of: pic. Marvin Keller with a big wahoo he caught on 40 pound trilene and a wire leader with Shawn Steward bringing it over for him. pic.
