Personal bests!

Hello Anglers,

Another day of beautiful weather to fish in today and we were able to pick up some more quality tuna. For the day we had 16 yellowfin from 130 to 185 pounds and some dorado to 40 pounds. Big fish of the day went to Carl Dorton with a 185 pound yellowfin on 80# line and a 8\0 Eagle Claw circle hook and a mackerel. We had a lot of opportunities today but with the size of the fish we lost quite a few. Every stop we had a very good amount of fish around the boat but it was happy just eating baits without the hooks in it. There was some 200 plus pound yellowfin caught today for the Royal Star. When I talked to Randy he said they had a pretty phenomenal drift for 15 yellowfin from 150 to 248 and he had a total 6 over 200 in that drift. That is just another example of the quality and potential that is around. Even though we were not the chosen ones on the 200 pound tuna, every one of our fish is a big beautiful specimen and any time the average fish on the boat is 150 pounds it is impressive. There was a lot of personal bests caught for our group the last couple of days and for a group that has been out as much as these guys, that's a good feeling for us as a crew because we accomplished a few goals for passengers and that is what we are here for. Tomorrow we are going to try for some wahoo and dorado offshore again to try to get a few for the gang. Wish us luck. Shawn and the crew B.C. says hi to Jackie and he went for a skiff ride, everything is going well
