We spent our first day of fishing offshore fishing kelp paddies. There were a lot of bare kelps, but if you found the right one, there were nice yellows and dorado to be had. The highlight of the day was when Mike Marshall hooked a heavy fish down deep on a salas 6xjr. After a 20 minute battle, the first opah that I have ever seen on this boat popped up. The weather remains good so we will spend tomorrow offshore as well. JUSTIN
