Hello Anglers,

We've had excellent tuna fishing at the Island the last two days. With most of the fish between 50#-80#. It has not only been a treat to stay out of the weather, but also to have enjoyed great tuna fishing. The anglers have been having a great time. We have one more day here at the Island to try for a few more of these beautiful tuna. Some sad news came out: Captain Bill Poole, the owner of the Excel, passed away this morning at his home in Point Loma California. Bill was an icon in our industry and a pioneer of the sport fishing fleet. He will be missed.
