THINGS ARE IMPROVING!!! Hello everyone;

Our weather has changed a little, we had 12 to 15 knots of breeze, with clear skies and sunny. It was a tough morning, with the sharks doing most of the damage. We had a real heartbraker, Sam Lewis. Sam hooked a very larger Yellowfin tuna. The Yellowfin took most of Sam line, and the crew put the back-up just in time, the fish took about 500 yards on the back up. Once we retrieved Sam's reel, the drags were shot. I can't say what type of reel it was, but it wasn't a Shimano, Accurate, or even a Penn. Once Sam's reel was on the boat, the crew would have to splice the line with the fish to another reel. Sam would fight the fish for over an hour, but only to lose it 40 feet from the boat. The fish was estamated over 200 pounds.

We would end up with 21 Wahoo and 13 Yellowfin. Most of the Yellowfin were in the 80 to 120 pound range. Largest fish today was caught by Ron Lewis at 130 pounds. We are seeing more and more fishing coming up on the bank, and this afternoon, the sharks backed off and we were able to fish with no shark problems. So until tomorrow, wish us luck and we will keep you posted on our daily events. The R/p crew.
