DAY AT THE MANGROVES!!! Hello everyone;
We had another great day in the lagoon. Our morning started out with a beautiful sunrise, and a healthy breakfast. At 08:00 hours we loaded the skiffs and headed over to the mangroves. It was a fun full morning of birds, plants and land mammals. We identified more than 35 species of birds and numbers plant life, and one lonely coyote. Once we lifted the mangroves, some went whale watching, while others just relaxed and read a book and enjoyed the sunshine.
After lunch, it was time for more whales and some went to the beach. The whales didn't disappoint us, there was some hugging, some kissing, and touching. Best of all on one boat, they had a whale spy-hop 5 feet from the boat. So all in all today was a very successful day of whale watching. We have one more day left in the lagoon, then if off to Cedros Island, so wish us luck with the weather, and we will keep you posted on our daily events. The R/p crew.
