Fish Report for 10-5-2026

Brown Town

Well to start off this web report there’s one word that probably describes our day. That would be production. We started our morning off bright and early tracking down a few nice areas of porpoise which produced a handful of nice drifts on straight primos. Fast paced fishing that turned into a plunker if you hit that mill correctly. Anyhow after a few nice drifts and our mammals all scattered out so we took a tour around hoping to find any signs of yellowfin besides on mammals.

Sure enough we ran into a nice sonar school of fish that turned into a 2 hour production stop or brown town as some of the old schoolers like to call it. Needless to say we caught our quota which is now laying in our RSW at 30 degrees. Not only is catching the fish important, but for an open party group that has not experienced the Royal Star treatment of fish handling it really shows why our system and techniques are superior.

For those of you that haven’t rode with us before every fish is dispatched immediately with a spike and bleeds out completely after. Once the fish has all of its blood removed they are flushed out completely with salt water removing any excess blood or nasty internals that we don’t want in the end product. For the tuna before we flush them out we also run a wire down the spine (Ike-jime) and gill and gut them right after. The most important part of this process is getting them in the hatch as fast as possible instead of leaving them in a kill box or rotting on the deck.

Anyhow tomorrow we’re gonna start on the beach targeting both yellowtail and any other bottom grabbers we can find. We also might sneak in a little bit of wahoo fishing if we find the right batch of water. Please enjoy and handful of photos taken during today’s madness.
