What started out as a fun day fishing along the beach turned into aquarium style Mahi Mahi fishing in the afternoon. Started the morning off fishing the shallows scratching away at nice yellows. Although they didn’t bite all the great everyone either landed a nice fish or had opportunities landing one. It may sound like slow fishing but bites weren’t our issue. It was the yellowtail not biting opposed to the trophy sized bonito, whitefish and sheep head that were in the way. Anyhow we picked it up after half a day and took a tour off the edge.

Still feels like there’s some remnant swell off last nights episode of rough seas but plenty manageable. Right was we came off the fathom curve we ran into a giant sonar school of dorado. Almost looked like the water was neon blue and green. Luckily for us they were in a biting mood a them some. Needless to say we topped off on our dolphin fish quota in short order and also called in a few of our colleagues to get down to business. 

After another couple hours of trolling around for no wahoo strikes we bent her into the coast to enjoy some epic bass fishing and dinner on the anchor. Unfortunately I didn’t take any photos of the dorado because it was hot and heavy but enjoy some of the yellowtail caught today by our anglers. Tomorrow we will be targeting strictly wahoo and yellowfin tuna. Wish us luck!
