Another day in the books. Started our day off on the lower end of things fishing tuna and other variety that we can tag. At first glance not much current indicated a long day of fishing. Luckily we were able to locate a school of fish off the bank that got us off to a nice start. Funny thing was these fish would bite another but a popper or skipjig. After our surface fishing endeavor we went back to the shallow and got our anchor down to get some rail time.
Fortunately a school moved in right as we put the anchor down. Although we only got a short window to catch these fish we put our slowly dying off bait to good use catching 12-40 pound fish. We also managed to pick up a handful of pargo, dorado and wahoo before moving out to deeper water to save the last 20 passes of bait we have. Tomorrow we will be back up north looking for really anything we can tag. Definitely gotta earn it this trip and there’s no shortage of effort on any of our ends. We’ll check back in tomorrow.
