Wind down

A perfect day winding down following the last few days of epic fishing below. Stunning conditions and scenery, less the jungle grade heat and humidity, encouraged one and all to abandon the air conditioned galley refuge even at high noon. Freighting a tremendous catch in the RSW tanks featuring the big three - quality, quantity, and variety, volume for the hatch wasn't the objective. Finding a few trophies or exotics while mixing in some fun bassin' was. As for the trophies and exotics we came up short. On the bass front we have never seen it better. Though somewhat overused epic is the right word to describe the action. Unreal. As was the scenery. Stunning, spectacular, awe inspiring - all of the above. It was a great day overall to relax and take it all in. Wonderful. So concludes our time below. Pointing the bow north at days end. We'll squeeze in a minute of fishing time in the morning if conditions allow. Otherwise the final leg will be occupied in preparation for our am arrival Saturday. Today's images feature Royal Star veteran anglers and friends Matt Hart with a brilliantly lit prized wahoo and Art Navarud with one of his jumbo grade, delicious Dorado.
