A nice day working up the line albeit a couple of short stops early for a few shallow water "cactus" drifts. While not much in the way of production it's nice to stop a wet a final line if on principle only. Beautiful weather complimented the ride as we broke down, spruced up, and passed the afternoon in pure leisure mode. Mighty pleased with the overall results we head in with a phenomenal load of beautiful quality yellowfin tuna and yellowtail a result of great timing and application of Roy's and my wealth of local knowledge gained over a combined seventy five years long range fishing. Firing on all cylinders this run a good time was definitely had by all. Many thanks to our fantastic group of anglers and stellar charter masters Tom and Dale Kurata. We look forward to continuing the tradition next season.
In closing I want to dedicate this run to our dear friend Craig Walker whom I have shared many a rich time in conversation with and fishing together at sea. Craig was a staple on this voyage and many others over the years on Royal Star. Currently Father Time is hot on Craig's heels gaining by the minute. Wishing you the best and Godspeed my friend. Rest assured I will remember...
