Day and Night

For today’s reports we’re gonna go over both yesterday and the day before. We’ll start off with our morning at the ridge. Very very simple fishing, flyline baits with 40 pound test was an insta bite on a tuna ranging 10-30 pounds and the bottle produced a handful of yellows and sheep head. Overall this was the perfect move for avoiding the weather, filling a few tags and most importantly getting some lines wet.

Now yesterday’s hot action was both on yellowtail and one step above grade yellowfin tuna. Same tactics used on the ridge were very effective at the rocks for all the tuna with just a handful in the 60-80 pound class. After messing around with the tuna and no luck on the wahoo we decided to move out to the bank in hopes to find a few yellowtail. Day time was ok but night time was crazy. The yellows ranged from 20-35 pounds and a few over 40 and 50. Tomorrow we’ll be messing around looking for grouper and any other exotics before heading up the line.
