Pristine, flat glass traveling - a fitting conclusion to this superb voyage that perfectly captured the essence of these incredibly popular Fall ten and eleven day runs. Variety being the main attraction this run featured a couple of days working on trophy class yellowfin followed by two successful days catching jumbo class (40-70#’s) wahoo and school grade tuna. Freighting a stellar catch of premier species in our RSW tanks we took leave of the lower zone for a couple of final days working the “beach” encountering fantastic fishing for fine grade yellowtail and ending with a worthy shot of 30 - 45# trophies. Seasoned strategizing and benevolent fish gods combined for an excellent catch featuring the big three. Quality, variety, and sufficient quantity are the hallmarks of fishing success. But it takes far more to create a successful voyage.

Our appreciation and gratitude to this fantastic group of anglers most of whom have shared time at sea with us for several if not many years. The atmosphere on board was friendly, lively, and light hearted making a positive experience of every opportunity. Good times were had by all because they came intent upon enjoying every completely unique feature of a long range voyage. Thank you to our good friends Wayne Passifuime, Steve Bernd, and many others who work to build this fantastic group of anglers.

Now begins a voyage anew as Captain Brian Sims takes the helm on our annual Island Tackle sponsored Fall eleven day run. Look for the daily narrative and images detailing the adventures on Royal Star to continue. Final voyage image features another Royal Star veteran and good friend Partick Britton with his beautiful, 100# class yellowfin coming over the rail.
