Out and underway south on the heels of some choppy days below we hit the brakes almost unexpectedly when the ocean floated with jumbo bluefin sign. A definite indication of incredible things to come these devils today were in bluefin character refusing the majority of our offerings despite their abundance. One sample for our long time friend and Royal Star angler validated the optics at a robust estimated 180 pounds. A few hours in the zone proved worthy overall but production stopped there. Continuing down after a couple of hours prospecting in the dark we'll keep this zone on the back burner for now.
