Opportunity

A fine day of coastal variety action in beautiful conditions. Enough quality yellowtail in the mix made light of ravenous waves of cudas and bass that hounded us from spot to beautiful spot. Flat calm, endless birds, sea life in stunning abundance, and a backdrop of rugged, unspoiled natural coastline answer the long range fisherman’s calling. Still, in the year 2025, access to these magnificent regions is made possible by the Government and people of Mexico. Our gratitude for such privilege is immeasurable. We respect the opportunity through responsible stewardship of the resources and local environments. This voyage and group of anglers are a fantastic example choosing to release a boatload of yellowtail and quality yellowfin tuna well before reaching their individual limits.
Freighting a beautiful catch in prime condition we continued the northern trek at day’s end looking to spend an hour or two variety fishing tomorrow before heading home. Photos today feature the famed Dahlkamp brothers Eric and Ethan with fine examples of the yellowtail grade encountered; and again our friend Ron Hobson and the guys with an eighty pound class Black Sea Bass that was happily released unharmed. Thank you again Ron for setting a strong example!
