Our final day resulted in a full effort search of any kind of pelagic fish. With very little sign during the prior night and day our goal was to cover a lot of water and look for any sort of game fish.

During our search we found a few kelps to keep us occupied on smaller grade yellowtail and, although we did not hook any, we saw a nice couple schools or dorado. Some of you might be wondering what’s the water temp and does this mean it’s gonna be another big dorado year? Well, not necessarily. The water is still on the cooler side, 67.5-71.5 degrees and only a few kelps with dorado on them down below means that there is fish moving up but not as many as you’d think. Anyhow we scratched away all day on kelp paddy yellowtail and sadly no more tuna. Tomorrow we depart on our Izorline 7 day with very high hopes!

Today’s photos consist of a few nicer grade yellows we capture along our journey.
