We departed yesterday on our annual Island Tackle 3 day adventure in search of bluefin tuna. Once arriving in in the zone, it didn’t take long before we started seeing the signs the fleet had been describing for the past week. Although there was plenty of fish to go around getting them to bite was a different story. 

After a delicious meal served by Chef Alex we began our search in the dark. Once again plenty of fish to go around between the fleet but this time we found some bitters. After many schools we finished off our night with 36 bluefin weighing anywhere from 25-80 pounds. Tomorrow we’ll be sticking with the same game plan fishing bluefin and hopefully finding some fish that wanna cooperate during the day!
