A long day of fish watching in considerably improved weather fueled optimism about opportunities to come. One nice kite fish mid day added some much needed excitement to the program. Long drifts amidst acres of not biting fish though worthy does little for production. But even one shifts momentum in the right direction. That momentum however was interrupted by a little mechanical gremlin that robbed us of a critical few minutes when the fish came up just after dark. Fortunately the solution was found and our time in the arena, though truncated, was put to good use. Through daylight we plugged away at them short stopping and grinding our way to a successful outcome. Ahhh. Photo today features Royal Star veteran and friend Doug Ruland with his 192 pound Pacific Bluefin Tuna sliding over the rail, and upright with Logan on the assist.
