Friday, May 9, 2025, starts the beginning of Searcher’s 2025 fishing season. We’ve been looking forward to being back out on the water. Friday morning, we left Fisherman’s Landing on a 3-day charter with Rich Denio and Knee Deep Brewing Company. We drove out southwest with good weather. Throughout Friday night we saw good signs of fish into the early morning. A little tough to work with, but we did get a few opportunities and a nice sample to start the trip.

Saturday, we spent the day in search mode and didn’t get on the fish until right before sundown. The fish are in a weird mode. There’s plenty around and we saw some good schools in the dark last night, but they did not cooperate. Luckily, we managed a couple nice fish, which was an encouraging sign, but the fish are just in a funky mode. Today, we’re back in search mode. Hoping to score tonight before making our way back home.
