Tough Day at the Bank

4-14-2009
Royal Polaris Crew

Hi everyone;

Gorgeous weather. Flat calm and sunny. Yellowfin tuna fishing was tough today. Largest fish was a 203 pound fish caught by Mike Gauger on a sardine on 60 pound test Blackwater fluorocarbon. This was Mikes second fish over 200 pounds on a sardine this trip. Bill Nakaki took second place honors with a 188 pound fish. Wahoo fishing was steady on both bait and iron.

I must mention here that the entire crew is and has been strong believers in the Blackwater fluorocarbon. Their main reason for liking it so much is because it is an extremely strong fluorocarbon and it also has some stretch. In the past we have lost many big fish as they get close to the boat, because of no stretch. This has not been the case with the Blackwater fluorocarbon.

So wish us luck and we will keep you posted on our daily events, the R/p crew.
