Fish Report for 8-10-2020

All Mixed Up

Royal Polaris Crew
Hello everyone; We arrived to our first destination at 0600 hours, dropped the anchor and started fishing, but the fish didn’t won’t to play just yet. So we pulled the anchor and headed south once again. We arrived to the 23 fathom bank, and there was life, but still a no-go for us. Once again, we made the move. We arrived to the end of the ridge, and signs looked very good, so we dropped the anchor and BANG!!!!
A fisherman’s dream come true, we had 18 to 30 pound Yellowtail, 12 to 22 pound Yellowfin, and nice size Dorado, it was game on. The bite was on fly-line sardine, 6x Iron, sliding sinker, dropper-loop. All the effective ways to catch a Yellowtail and Yellowfin were working. It was a very good start to our trip, and with reports from up north being bleak, this is what the doctor order, doctor Carnes I should say.
We are spending the night, and hoping things will kick off again tomorrow for us. So until then, wish us luck. Team R/p.
