Why we come

Aptly titled today's narrative relates a story of fantastic fishing, beautiful weather, and great camaraderie offshore, at the rail, in pristine, fresh air. A morning go at the 25 - 40 pound bluefin and yellowfin gave way to a seven hour afternoon drift on 60 - 85 pound bluefin with a good sprinkling of 45 - 60 pound yellowfin mixed in. Hot and heavy for awhile then backing off to an easy pace the tempo of the action late was dictated by the enthusiasm of each individual fisherman. With most sated and reveling the rail was nigh empty come sundown as the occasional fish lazily boiled around the boat. Good times to be sure. Appreciative and ready for more tomorrow can't come soon enough. Bright notes amidst the World backdrop are salve to the soul.
Speaking of bright notes today's image features angler extraordinaire Lindsay Joe who showed us how it is done last trip. All smiles and rightly so here she is with one of her several 80 pound grade BFT.
