Coastal calm
6-13-2020
Tim Ekstrom
A pleasant, scenic day of yellowtail fishing along the coast enjoying the flat calm conditions and fun angling. Plenty of visuals accompanied the action on 8-15 pound yellows that toured around in wolf packs raiding baits and skillfully placed lures. All told it was a fine day we all appreciated. Good times. Tomorrow we'll head offshore as the wind and swell abate. Abundant sign of bluefin continues to call. Photo today features a grab from the archive but the angler is here and now. Craig Walker does the honors with a Baja jumbo. The three or four he landed today probably added up to this big dude on the rail. Long range!
