Fish Report for 6-4-2020

Action item for fishing public by request of SAC!!!!!

In yet another mind numbing example of "governance" we, and so many other incredible businesses that I have no call to whine, are relegated to the hurry up and wait category while the bureaucratic shuffle continues. With respect we, and our fellow citizens, will continue to apply as much pressure as possible to get our businesses up and running.

The ball was moved in the right direction Tuesday last. Progress was made. There is no question that the business community is broadcasting a clear message to city, county, and state leaders. It is time to allow businesses to reopen and manage the safety of their employees and clients using the tools and common sense they were given by our Creator.

So, less my launching into a political diatribe none too favorable to many aspects of current affairs, we are finally finished with our projects on Royal Star tied to the dock waiting to go fishing. Rest assured Royal Star anglers that we are ready in every sense of the word. At this time I can think of no better therapy than to separate oneself from this madness for a few days and get out on the water for a day or two, or three of pure fishing.

Positive my friends. We must and will remain on the positive side when it comes to this reopening effort. Enjoy the photo today grabbed from the archive. This is a beaut!
If anglers have an appetite to participate in the process this is hot off the Sport Fishing of California presses today. Follow the instructions posted and respectfully rattle the trees. It is time.

Send letters to the Governor and Lt. Governor requesting they authorize San Diego County to open sportfishing. We recommend both email and paper letters be sent for maximum effect.

Dear Governor Newsom,

I write to request that you re-open charter sportfishing. The boats have implemented the proper plans and protocols. Tens of thousands of Californians are desperate to return to work in order to be able to provide for their families. It is proven that outdoor activities, especially those in an environment with ample sea breeze, are a healthy alternative to being at home.  Fresh fish, outdoor exercise and sunshine are all provided by permitting sportfishing to return.  Please save another group of Californians from further disaster.
