Fish Report for 2-3-2009

Shogun Opens The Door
2-3-2009

Skipper Bruce Smith of the Shogun has been biding his time, waiting for the bite to match the show of big tuna he's been seeing. Yesterday, things fell into place.
"Finally, we got into biting fish. It started on the anchor first thing, then slowed down in the afternoon. At 15:00 the fish started to pop again and we slid into a good school. We had eight going, there were 200-pounders doing back flips on the stern and the kite was going off.
"It was a fun time, something this group needed and deserved after a few slow days of fishing. No major tackles failures today, I am happy to report. Gary Teraoka's nub connection landed another cow for Dave Stewart that taped out at 220 pounds."
