Fish Report for 2-2-2020
Tough Day
2-2-2020
Royal Polaris Crew
Hello everyone;
Today was another tough day, weather wise and fishing. We had 15 to 20 knots of breeze most of the day, with rain all day. It made fishing tough, but for the few anglers that made it out and gave it a try, they would be rewarded. Most of the Yellowfin were in the 50 to 70 pound grade, and only a few over the 100 pound mark.
We did have one bull ( I don’t know why we call the big one’s Cow’s). Almost time to call it a day, and Brian Boatman was on the kite, on the way out the big fish would inhale Brian’s bait, and it was game on. Brian would do short work of this giant, as the crew put 4 gaffs in to this giant. Brian’s been fishing with us for years, and I knew this would be his personnel best, and his buddy is not here to give him his R/p shower. Brian’s fish would weigh in at 272 pounds, big fish for the trip so far.
On the bright side, the Wahoo made a good showing today. With only a day and a morning left, everyone is ready for the ride home. We’ve had an excellent trip so far, and we are hoping it get’s back to good weather and great fishing, to finish off the trip.
Not much more to report, so until tomorrow wish us luck. Team R/p.
