Island Tackle

A swift turn then back on the road heading south with our annual Island Tackle eleven day group rarin’ to go. Switching up the game plan we plan to begin the voyage on the upper end of things targeting a few jumbo/trophy grade yellowfin and yellowtail before heading down the line on the back end of the voyage. Good weather currently enhances the plan but change is soon to come. It looks like the first winter style rain event is forecast to arrive Mon/Tue/Wed along with a little bit of wind. No big deal; we fish in the rain less any trouble. And the wind is low on the disruption scale.

Look for reports and photos to continue as the voyage unfolds. On board we have the pleasure of a fantastic group of individuals including Island Tackle Co-Owner Sam De La Torre, one of the most knowledgeable and finest tackle men that I have the pleasure to know. Photo today is a grab from the previous voyage featuring Royal Star angler JR Dekleinhans who made the drive from Montana to join the adventure. Thank you sir!!!
