Out of the gates

We came out swinging scoring on the local yellows in a fine way. What more can one ask for? Right out of the gates, twenty miles from the dock, and we are in business fishing and catching fine quality yellowtail. And close by also are miles and miles of bluefin that made a huge showing today offshore. While the catching wasn’t grand the guys working on the outside did far better scratching away at those beautiful grade 60-90 pounders. We are poised to work out from the coast tomorrow after a morning attempt on the yellows.

Epic weather is in the forecast and the full moon is coming. That combination is one any offshore tuna fisherman dreams of. On that note that three day departing Wed has a couple of spots available. The amount of fishing time we are packing into these shorter trips right now is epic. Combined with the fantastic catching on yellows and bluefin potential offshore the time is right.

Photo today is the one I missed from yesterday’s posting. This action shot from the rail perfectly reflects what we saw today, and then some!
