Fish Report for 4-7-2019

Alijos Yellowtail Bite

4-7-2019
Royal Polaris Crew

Today we rolled up to Alijos on the way south to take a look at the conditions. We were greeted by a gathering of BEAUTIFUL Yellowtail! We enjoyed non-stop action on 25-45lb fish for several hours highlighted by an hour of wide open, very exciting surface iron action.
We had several personal bests (“PB’s”) on yellowtail that included John Handy (2PB’s), Jim Woody (3PB’s), Frank Cederblade (2PB’s) & yours truly. Due to windy, chilly conditions, all PB’s were spared our traditional hose down, except for… wait for it, yours truly. Whoever invented this tradition should be excommunicated!

The offset to being hosed down as celebration is that PB’s earn a personal shout out. John says hi to his lovely wife Corinne and thanks her for running Treebones Resort while he recruits new clients. Jim says hello to Susan Morrison and his 3 German Shephard’s Bella, Ellie & Buddy (Susan, please tell Jim that dogs don’t read the reports). I’d like to send love to the family and hi to everyone following the trip. Frank says hi to Shannon! On a closing note, Susan sends his love to Mr. Perfect Paul who we incessantly hear how amazing he is… evening serenades, world class hockey, gourmet cook, blah, blah, blah! Whatever! Lastly, the entire boat says high to Lucille, we miss our good luck charm!

We are headed south to warmer weather and hopefully, very large yellowfin tuna!

Not a bad way to start the trip!
