Fish Report for 2-16-2019

Right Start

We got off to a good start with steady action on good grade yellowfin just after daylight. Unfortunately a break in the action interrupted our roll that we never could re establish as the day ticked away. As forecast yesterdays beautiful weather was replaced with hunker down and hang on conditions that are to be the norm here for at least the next few days. It comes with the territory. Such is the nature of offshore fishing. As of now it appears that we'll get another break before our time in God's country comes to an end. Overall we are still pleased with the sign of fish around confident that in spite of the tough working conditions the chance for a good hit any time is certainly here.

Photo today features long time Royal Star angler and friend "Dr. Bob" Hulbert who in addition to logging some serious hours at the rail finds the time to keep everyone on board aligned and adjusted as needed. Here is Bob with his big one of the day that weighed in at a respectable 150.
