Good jump

No complaints as our good jump from the gates resulted in a couple of hours of fine afternoon angling before things took a powder. Consistent with the pattern over the last few weeks we settled into our chosen berth, enjoyed the spectacular scenery and weather, and caught a few nice fish while getting familiar with one another at the rail. To claim that “this is what it is all about” is perhaps a little too cliche, but it is. Content for now we seek to make the most of our time in paradise before considering other options.

Today’s photo is a magazine cover quality classic featuring Royal Star veteran and friend John Finneran and his stunningly beautiful Guadalupe yellowfin tuna. A perfect representative of the current potential at the island this fish weighed in at a tantalizing 99 pounds.
