Royal Polaris Sportfishing Fish Report

Royal Polaris Crew

Hello everyone;

Weather today was a bit breeze, but going south made it good for traveling.

After a good breakfast, Frank gave his seminar on, how to fish Cedros Island. It was in-def, and to the point. Once the seminar was over, the crew went to work getting everyone ready for today adventure. We made a brief stop at San Benitos Island, for a few Yellowtail up to 25 pounds, but this was not what we were looking for. We then headed to Cedros Island, we arrive around 15:15 hours.

With poor reports from the boats there already, we were hoping to change things. It didn't take long for the Yellowtail to find us, and then it was game on. We would have a steady pick on 18 to 30 pound Yellows for the rest of the afternoon. We did receive a report that some White Sea Bass had been caught on the south-end of the island. After the Yellowtail bite slowed, we headed south in hopes of White Sea Bass on the end of our lines. We had no luck on the Sea Bass, but would land more Yellowtail in the 25 to 30 pound class.

With first call for dinner, and the last Yellowtail boated by Oliver Tan, we would try to make a tank of bait, throughout the night. So with that note, wish us luck and we will keep you posted on our upcoming events. The R/p crew (Frank, Billy, Dhary, Jesus, Eddie, Cole, Jim, and Anthony)
