A long haul was in order this voyage following the lack of worthy results at Isla Guadalupe on the prior run. Carrying a superb load of bait and anglers the autopilot was set at noon and remained untouched during the first day of travel. Glorious weather - flat calm made the time in transit serene lulling everyone into the shipboard routine less any bumping and banging; just how we like it.
Poised for success we hope to get the show started on the bottom end of this run before working back north in search of variety while maximizing fishing time at the rail. It appears that Mother Nature will be in a cooperative mood at least until later this week keeping the door open for options offshore. Reports tomorrow will detail fishing action as we get the party started late morning. Beyond that time will tell…
