Yellowfin Heat Up (050208)

Royal Polaris Crew
Hello everyone;
Well the weather out at Clarion is about the same, 10 to 12 knots, clear skies, and warm days.
Today was a good day. Our morning started out with a log, that's right a log (check out the photo). This log was holding small pilot fish and Wahoo. We fished the log for about 30 minutes, by then we had what we needed for the trip on Wahoo. The tuna action picked up today, with some dandy's. Most of the Yellowfin were in the 140 to 175 catogory,with a few school fish, and two going over 200 pounds and one over 300 pounds. Lucky anglers today:
Craig English (210 pounds)
Ken Parnell (257 pounds)
David Fay (330 pounds)
Both Accurate reels for the trip were giving away today. Gary "Chico" Leonard with a 55.8 pound Wahoo, and David Fay with his personnel best 330 pound Yellowfin tuna. We have until 10:00 in the morning before we call this a trip, then we look forward to maintenance, NOT. So until tomorrow, wish us luck the R/p crew.
