Bigger wasn't better

Not from a lack of fish the day's results were lackluster nevertheless. It's good to see them of course, far better than searching in a desert, but the 'look but no touch' scenario elicits a whole different dimension of frustration. We managed to boat a few, enough to inginte the idea that success here is possible, but time will tell. Still hasseled by the local thugs we've got a long way to go here before calling out a catch.
Epic weather, plenty of time, excellent bait, etc. – all part of a foundation that we hope will lead to success. It's a familiar story told during the past couple of months. We're not all in here this time though, a jump to the southwest is certainly within our means if we've a mind to. Currnetly though we are exactly where we want to be; toss in a few handfuls of fish and life is good.
Uber veteran Bob Pound gets the picture train started today with this dandy 170 that fell for a well presented sardine amidst plenty of larger offerings. When it comes to tuna fishing bigger is not always better.
