Royal Star Fish Report for 11-8-2016

Classic Ridge

The variety phase of this classic Fall 10 day voyage was in full swing today. Classic Ridge action, complete with scattered wahoo and plenty of school size yellowfin tuna was met with enthusiasm as anglers jumped into the fray ready to get their yankin' and crankin' on. For certain this kind of action is cathartic after anglers spend multiple day's in scratch settings. The eager nature of these desperate little devils ensures that anyone and everyone gets plenty of bites; and everyone whose chooses uses plenty of tags.

A weather forecast promising pure heaven will be the foundation of an offshore looking mission tomorrow; but not before we spend the morning taking one more shot at variety on the Ridge. Because this forecast is a significant change I feel strong potential for something better here soon to come. It's just a matter of whether that “soon” will be soon enough to accommodate our morning objectives Photo today features first time Royal Star angler Gary Christopher who is absolutely stoked with every opportunity to pull on whatever latches on to his line. Gary's contagious enthusiasm is welcome and very cool to see among this group of long range veteran's.
