Royal Polaris Fishing Report

Royal Polaris Crew

Hello everyone; We arrived to our destination at 23:30 hours. We made the effort to make bait, but it didn’t bite until 05:00 hours, once the moon went away. Once we had a few hundred baits, we pulled the anchor and headed to our first spot. It didn’t take long for us to be pulling on jumbo Yellowtail. We only landed one 40 pound Yellowtail, and lost 5 others to the rocks. With a slow moving current, Roy made the decision to make a short move, and it would pay off.

We started hooking Yellowfin in the 50 to 80 pound range, with a few fish over the 100 pound mark.

We would pick away at the Yellowfin, to end up with a good day. It was about 50/50 on the kite and flyline baits.

All the Yellowtail were caught on the dropper loop. We will try to make a tank of bait tonight, so wish us luck. Team R/p
