A good start here amidst incredible sign – real deal truth be told. Sublime conditions by day's end replaced the fair rockin' and rollin' angler's were welcomed to mid afternoon. Not that anyone noticed though – fishing was too good. Moderating ourselves somewhat we made a good dent in the hatch but didn't go overboard. We have plenty of time and plan to do some surveying tomorrow in search of the jumbo grade that was prevalent a couple of trips prior. The grade now is still fantastic; forty to seventy pounds with a few standouts, but that 100 to 150 pound fish is the preferred quarry.
So the task is clear. We'll be on the hunt tomorrow following a heavenly night at anchor. Photo today features long time veteran of the Humboldt Fishin' Lumberjack crew Scott Gray basking in the triumph of early success with this dandy sixty five pounder.
