Hello everyone;
Well things out here are outstanding. We had excellent fishing today on 120 to 160 pound Yellowfin, with a few going over 200 pounds. Things started early on the kite, with our first two anglers getting on the board fast. It was a mixed bite most of the day, with many of the fish coming on Sardines, on 100 or 130 pound fluorocarbon, with a 6/0 ringed super mutu hook. The preferred bait for the kite was a nice health flyer (flying fish). Some times I wonder what it is about flying fish. These large Yellowfin just can't get enough of them.
Weather today was warm, with 12 to 15 knots of breeze, and slight overcast skies. You could say, perfect for flying a kite. We will try our luck at flyer's again tonight, so wish us luck. Wahoo fishing was a bit scratchy today, with only 3 being boated. So with that note, I will close for now, until tomorrow, wish us luck. The R/p crew.
