Royal Star Fish Report for 5-27-2016
Departure
5-27-2016
Tim Ekstrom
Departing on the annual Memorial Day weekend voyage, Captain Paul Carramao, and newly anointed Captain Blake Wasano, grabbed the reins and headed forth with Captain Carramao firmly in command. The next generation coming into their own is a signature achievement that Royal Star is well known for. They have earned the opportunity through years, a respective seven and nine in Paul and Blake’s cases, of dedicated effort learning the art of fishing, mechanics, seamanship, and customer service. These are not kids who get tossed the keys with an “Atta Boy” and “Good Luck” at our client’s expense. These are capable young professionals that have earned Randy’s, Brian’s, and my confidence and respect the old fashioned way.
What I can guarantee as the director of Royal Star Sport Fishing is that Captain Paul Carramao will drive himself and his crew to any and every length to produce a catch and ultimate result worthy of our client’s expectations, and Royal Star standards. And while Brian, Randy, and I are not looking to diminish our role in the operation of Royal Star, we will be leading the majority of Royal Star voyages, Captain Paul and our stellar crewmen will be responsible for a few voyages this season proving themselves on par with the veteran’s to our valued clientele.
Signs of Bluefin Tuna up and down the coast with Yellowtail still available and abundant suggest opportunity for those in the right place at the right time. Flat calm conditions promise beauty and comfort during the ride; a perfect set up for those deserving of glory! Look for Captain Paul’s reports to commence tomorrow.
