Really something here; if one wasn't looking at the prominent scenery they could easily replace the destination with one to the far south. Yellowfin tuna in the 90 – 130# class were the order of day. Combined with the beautiful grade yellowtail I found myself nigh praying aloud on multiple occasions. This is a blessing that can not be overstated and/or ignored; the kind of fishing, the kind of scenery, that creates memories for a life time.

Not that we're sitting in prayer circles in the galley holding hands and singing hymn's, we're not, but I have issued several reminders to everyone to take a moment, look around, and absorb the weight of good fortune upon us. There are enough occasions otherwise in fishing that make extraordinary times like these worthy of recognition.

We head into day three with selective fishing intentions. Picking our way around we'll focus on pure quality hatching the best of what we find. Right now quantity around these parts is not the issue – there is plenty. But adhering to the old addage about “pigs getting fat and hogs getting slaughtered” we're going about this in measured fashion consistent with our principles on Royal Star.
