Done on yellows

By the numbers here so far; good fishing, good bait, good weather, good times. Steady morning yellowtailin' segued into ripper action in the early afternoon. At that pace it didn't take long to satisfy. On the outside searching late we encountered a few bald kelps and nothing else. But it really didn't matter; the day was made, souls were satisfied, and a lively happy hour, underway almost immediately upon departing the coast, assured that good times continued through day's end.

Shifting gears we push west into the bigger tuna zones seeking success in the way of bluefin and yellowfin. Good weather promises to make a pleasant time of it whether the fish bite or not; of course we'll prefer the former. Photo today features Royal Star veteran Jimmy Reed with one of the many nice yellows he landed amidst the action.
