A slow go here today logging northward miles in search of anything worthy; but the search was in vain. No fish, an amazing result considering the season and area covered, but this year is an obvious exception. Nothing, no results anywhere are a surprise. And rest assured that many surprises still await all of us venturing local and long range fishing excursions in the upcoming two or three months.
In today's case there is a method to the madness. The northward miles were required travel anyway. We accomplished a necessary task while positioning our anglers to partake in a full day of fishing tomorrow; a full day of fishing for quality yellowfin and bluefin tuna. With an ideal load of bait and anglers ready to rock we'll see if the fish gods are inclined to be kind.
Photo today features long time Humboldt Fishin' Lumberjack Chris De Wees elated when the White Sea Bass gods, tragically unkind to him during last year's annual run, restored the faith a couple of morning's ago yielding this fine thirty five pounder.
