Royal Polaris Fishing Report

Good Morning Everyone;

Weather continues to be excellent, with 8 to 10 knots of wind, slightly overcast, and warm. We arrived to Alijos Rocks at 07:30 hours. We started looking around, and it didn’t take long for us to start catching some Wahoo.

We picked away at a decent number of Wahoo today, but it took all day. Most of the Wahoo were in the 35 to 40-pound range, some smaller, and a few larger one’s. We made sure everyone onboard caught at least one Wahoo to take home.

We made a few drifts for some flag Cabrilla and Yellowtail. The Yellowtail didn’t cooperate, but the Cabrilla did. There is some sign of Yellowfin at the rocks, but they are on the small side. Most were released back to the ocean.

On our last Wahoo stop of the day, we had a surprise. A school of Dorado moved in and they were in the 15 to 25-pound range.

Tonight is our trip sushi night, and everyone is looking forward to a great dinner, after a long day of fishing.

We are now on the move, and we will travel for 36 hours, but we will be looking for kelps on the way up, so wish us luck.
